__#__The 2003 Staff____________________
Allow me to introduce the 'final' setup of our staff members for the year 2003.
I believe that we have a wide range of members with a spread interest in several sections that in a total cover our forums. Hopefully this will do just fine to help keep the mood positive, the posts and threads clean and help out where needed. The staff members have received this position by application, through winning prizes in our competitions or by a tough selection. The slots for these positions are rare, and they come with a great responsibility. For this year, they are filled.

Our community is just starting, and we are rather small. This doesn't mean we do not need staff members. They play an important part on our community and they help me as much as possible to have a fun site - and to keep it a fun site. At this moment we have enough staff members, but as the site grows, we will probably contact a few or more members in the first quarter of 2004. If you are interested, feel free to let us know!
( Community Link: Site Announcement "We need more Moderators" @ http://www.vBulletin-Fans.com/showthread.php?t=13 )

We have three groups, each with their own functions/tasks, priveledges and responsibilities:

The Site Owner(s):
Floris (aka xiphoid)
I have started the web site vBulletin.nl because I wanted to do a litte bit more with vBulletin then having it power my web site creations.nl. I wanted to have a place where I could list my services and share my knowledge (for as much as I have that) and to discuss vBulletin with others. I also wanted to have a resource for Dutch related files (hence why it is .nl) but at this stage, our site hasn't evolved into that yet. I will do my best to keep the web site as much fun as possible - and you can contact me at any time on info@vBulletin.nl with any comment or question.

The Administrator(s):
Scott, Cary and Finch
The administrators have the responsibility to help me make the right choices and guide me where needed. From time to time I will discuss some 'behind the scene' stuff with them and take their advice and help very serious - I know their time is very limited, so don't expect too much posts from them.

The Super Moderator(s):
Martin (aka Sn2)
Sn2 helps me a lot with those little things that get stuff finalized; Finding typing errors and help setting up and checking categories, forums, their sub-forums and their permissions. Discussing possible changes and managing members and usergroups. Where I lack in time, he jumps in as much as possible.

The Moderator(s):
Tony and Fury
The mods provide important activity on the forums, helping out members with their questions and problems. Participating in fun discussions and making sure conversations stay fun. They also have a big say in what is going on and are involved as much as the other staff members (if not more hehe). They will moderate posts and users where appropiate and discuss members and their actions with the rest of the staff when things don't seem to be going as they should.

An overview of our staff members can be found here:
( Community Link: Forum Leaders Section @ http://www.vBulletin-Fans.com/showgroups.php? )

I thank you very much for you registration on the community and I hope you will stick around. Everybody is welcome and I hope we will have some cool source code and template modifications and some cool graphics and designs; lots of fun vBulletin discussions and I hope we can answer your questions or you could help those in need. Keep browsing the forums and feel free to invite your friends!

__#__Upcoming Events__________________

# HiveMail
At this moment we are having a great competition "Win A Free HiveMail License!"
( Community Link : Competition "HiveMail" @ http://www.vBulletin-Fans.com/showthread.php?t=70 )

Don't forget to sign up by going to the contact-us form in the footer of each page on the forum! It is easy and quick and your chance of winning is very big (remember, we are still a small community!) At this moment we have received more then 25 signups.

We will stop the competition on the 30th and announce the winner on the 31st of July - good luck everybody !!

# Moderator
In the meantime, we will have a few more give-away games. The most recent one was the 'Win A Moderator Position!' which fury won.
( Community Link : Competition "Moderator" @ http://www.vBulletin-Fans.com/showthread.php?t=129 )

# vBulletin
And on the 21st of July we will have another great give-away game. It will only last 1 day, so make sure you write it down in your agenda! More details will follow ofcourse, but it will come down to this:

You will have a chance at winning a product like a coffee mug, a t-shirt, a mouse-pad, or something like that, with the official vBulletin logo on it.
Keep your eye on the Calendar, where the event is listed. And ofcourse check out the competition forum!

__#__vBulletin 3.0.0 Beta 5 & vBulletin.nl_
We were hoping on a new beta release every two weeks, but that didn't happen (booo).

I have heard rumours that we can expect beta 5 to arrive on friday the 18th. Hopefully my source was right about this date. I know I can't wait! Besides a lot of bug fixing and small updates, I hope that some small new features or tweaks are included and who knows, maybe the templates are either finalized to be translated or Kier might suprise us with a new style? (What! Nothing wrong with hoping)

There are some little bugs in beta 4 that you might have run into, (hopefully not) but those are fixed in beta 5. And when beta 5 arrives, we will upgrade our community software to this latest version. And then we will start making more changes to our web site and its design. Slowly, step by step, we will implement the new button set, our new style and open up a few more features (like Avatars!). Maybe add another category or some forums. We will also gradually set up more forum rules specific for some sections (use of avatars, signatures, attachments, etc). We hardly have any, and more questions are Emailed and posted about what is ok or not.

If anybody thinks they can help by providing suggestions or comments, please use our Site Feedback forum or contact me through a Private Message or Email.

When we have more news about vBulletin, we will announce it in the vBulletin Announcements forum.

__#__Disclaimer and Support____________
# Disclaimer
I just wanted to make clear to everybody that the vBulletin.nl web site is not an official vBulletin or Jelsoft web site or sister site. It is just a domain name that was free for registration and that I use for my personal use. I like vBulletin, and I like to chit chat about vBulletin and I like to play with the product and learn a lot of new things this way. Like PHP and MySQL and how to handle on-line users and whatever else comes with it. Our web site does allow you to post your own source code and template modifications, graphics and button sets and designs and styles. But you have to understand that we do not tolerate warez. Unfortunately we can not make a difference between users who have a legal vBulletin license and users who do not have one. This means that every registered member can download an attachment. If we suspect a web site being run by a unlicensed vBulletin, we will report it to Jelsoft's Abuse Department who will then investigate and take the appropriate legal action. We also do not accept stuff being ripped, rewritten or translated, linked remotely, unless you are the author and/or it is linked to an official vBulletin web site like vBulletin.com vBulletin.org vBulletin-germany.com or vBulletinTemplates.com - If anybody has any problems with the web site, a user on the web site, or some content on the web site, please contact info@vBulletin.nl and we will discuss the matter. Because I want to keep it fun and clean. Thank you :)

# Support
Because the vBulletin.nl web site is my personal web site, some support is welcome. At the moment I am getting help from a vBulletin Developer and a vBulletin Team Member. And of course the rest of the staff. We will try our best to get things going and to stay on-line. Staying on-line is mostly due the great support and sponsoring from SirenHost.co.uk - they provide the hosting and bandwidth and traffic so we have great performance and reachability globally. Other support is provided through sponsorships with products that stand behind vBulletin in the form of competitions or software-support.

You, as an end-user to our community can help our site through PayPal donations, or just by following one of our affiliate links when you go purchase a product like HiveMail or vBulletin or whatever else.
